GMS is operating 15 self-elevating, self-propelled jackup barges in locations ranging from the Southern North Sea and Mediterranean to the Arabian Gulf. Two of our DPII E-Class barges are operating in Europe in the oil, gas and renewable energy (wind farm) industries; the third is working in the MENA region. Our eight K-Class jackups and three S-Class jackups are mainly contracted in the Middle East.
Our growth strategy is based on a modern fleet and the inherent flexibility of our four-legged jackups. The ability to jack quickly within short weather windows with four legs, supplementing our accommodation size and flexible deck space are our core operational strengths. This has allowed us to operate our current well services and maintenance contracts and diversify into offshore renewables with the same assets.
We have a record of adding innovative technology to the decks of our barges, the latest being a cantilever well work-over package expanding our low cost alternatives to our clients.
The fact that we can build our vessels in Abu Dhabi is absolutely key as this allows us to produce these sophisticated assets at lower than market prices. The sophisticated design and operational efficiency of our jackup barges allows us to offer cost-effective solutions to our clients. This, along with our excellent safety record, is what defines GMS.
As we move forward, we recognize that critical to sustaining successful growth is the continuity of our exceptional HSE standards, operational performance and client services.
