GMS is operating 14 self-elevating, self-propelled jackup barges in locations ranging from the Southern North Sea and Mediterranean to the Arabian Gulf. Two of our DPII E-Class barges are operating in Europe in the oil, gas and renewable energy (wind farm) industries; the third is working in the MENA region. Our seven K-Class jackups and three S-Class jackups are contracted in the Middle East.
Our growth strategy is based on the operation of a modern fleet and the inherent flexibility of our four-legged jackups. The ability to jack quickly within short weather windows with four legs, supplementing our accommodation size and flexible deck space are our core operational strengths. This has allowed us to operate our current well services and maintenance contracts and diversify into offshore renewables with the same assets.
We continually seek ways to enhance our vessels and the services we provide through technological innovation. In 2017, we added a cantilever well work-over package to our expanding range of low cost alternatives for our clients.
We can build and modify our vessels at our own yard in Abu Dhabi. The sophisticated design and operational efficiency of our jackups allows us to offer cost-effective bespoke solutions to our clients. This, along with our excellent safety record, is what defines GMS.
As we move forward, we recognize that critical to sustaining successful growth is the continuity of our exceptional HSE standards, operational performance and client services.
