Mr. Rashed Al Suwaidi is a petroleum engineer, graduated from the U.S., who held several senior posts in the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), including the position of Exploration and Production (E&P) Director. He was concurrently a Board member of most of the ADNOC subsidiaries, including ADMA, ADCO, ZADCO, ADGAS, NDC (Chairman), ADDCAP (Chairman), ADPPOC and others. He left ADNOC in 1999 and went on to acquire Essar Drilling in 2002, which was transformed into Dalma Energy. This company was sold to a new IPO, Aabar Petroleum, in 2005. He is also on the Board of the Abu Dhabi National Investment Development Company (Marina Mall) and Noor Capital (Abu Dhabi). Mr. Rashed is Chairman of Alsa Engineering LLC (Abu Dhabi) and the listed Al Maha Petroleum in Oman, the largest petrol-station owner in that country. He is also Chairman of Control & Applications Emirates, a leading E&I EPC contractor to the Oil & Gas Industry, and in 2008 became Chairman of Gulf Marine Services (GMS) in Abu Dhabi, a major supplier of offshore facilities. He serves on the Board of Colombo Dockyard PLC, listed in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Duncan Anderson joined GMS in October 2007, is a UK Chartered Engineer, with a post graduate degree in Marine Machinery Monitoring Control. He brings a wealth of experience to the executive team gained from his prior role as COO at the UAE based Lamnalco Group where he managed a fleet of 90 vessels, as well as increasing their customer base in West Africa and the Middle East. Mr Anderson was also COO of Gulf Offshore North Sea where he operated the largest OSV fleet in the region. In his role as CEO, Mr. Anderson is responsible for managing the future growth of GMS stemming from the projected increase in demand in marine offshore-related projects in the the Oil, Gas and Renewables sectors.  Additionally, Mr. Anderson and his team will bolster GMS’s leadership in the UAE and the Gulf by addressing customization requirements in this field.      

Mr. Mohammad Antar joined GMS in August 2007. Prior to joining he was Logistics Manager for 5 years in the Logistics Division of ADMA-OPCO with a workforce of around 770 personnel, an annual budget of US$ 105M, and around 15 major contracts.

Still under ADMA-OPCO, he also worked as a Manager in Das Island for 13 years in the Service Division. The Divisions' main function was to provide support services for the whole of Das Island which included Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS).

Capt. Ron McGuire joined GMS in December 2007. He holds a Master Mariner Certificate from UK and prior to working for GMS spent a number of years working for BP, where he held senior management roles in the North Sea, Abu Dhabi (Seconded to Adma Opco) and various other marine roles including Vessel Master, Ships Pilot and Marine Assurance Auditor. Capt McGuire has experience on a range of vessel types including Supply Vessels, Offshore Barges and Tankers.

Mr. John Petticrew joined Gulf Marine Services in November 2009. He brings with him 25 + years of experience in the project and new construction management of small to large projects, ranging from harbour tugs through navel frigates to major refurbishment and new construction of semi-submersible and jack-up oil rigs.
John has spent the last 7 years in the UAE working for two of the regions largest new construction and repairs companies, Dubai Drydocks World and Lamprell Energy. Prior to this he spent 17 years with Irving Shipbuilding the largest ship repair and construction company in Canada.

Mr. Andrew Robertson joined GMS in February 2008. He was educated at Robert Gordon University with a BA in Accountancy and Finance and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Prior to joining GMS he spent six years working in the Oil & Gas industry for AMEC having taken up postings in UK,USA and China and had responsibility for finance operations in major oil and gas regions including Europe, Americas, Asia and the Middle East. These roles had a strong focus on delivering improvement/change to process, practice and procedure. He also has significant marine/shipping experience gained in a variety of finance related roles with P&O and Coflexip Stena Offshore.

Mr. Mark Preston joined GMS in August 2008 bringing over 20 years of commercial experience within the marine and offshore industry. He is a Chartered Shipbroker with international business development experience gained in the Oil& Gas industry. He has undertaken the commercial management and control of large scale projects which include the provision of Early Production Systems and the conversion of a Floating Production and Storage Facility for European clients.

Ms. Linda Murray joined GMS in October 2011. Ms. Linda Murray is the new addition to GMS management. Ms. Murray has over 18 years of global HR experience working with numerous organisation cultures, both in the corporate and INGO sector. Her corporate experience includes oil and gas, alternative energy, B2C and B2B businesses particularly in the emerging markets. Prior to joining GMS, Ms. Murray was a Director of Transformation with Save the Children UK, where she was responsible for leading a project team in the transition of country offices into a single international organisation. Prior to this. Ms. Murray was with BP Alternative Energy as Head of HR and Talent Management for the Emerging Consumer Market, a global start up business.
